Our story

For those bestowed with a longer memory, you will recall Acorn Antiques – the hugely popular Victoria Wood mid 80’s TV show which was later reborn into a hit musical in 2005…

On meeting a new friend (Elton John!) back in the 80’s and on hearing that I was an antique dealer, he immediately gave me the nickname of Miss Babs – the formidable character who ran the Antique store in the show, played by the wonderful Celia Imrie.

I’m celebrating 20 years in the Events industry this year, however I didn’t stop buying and collecting special pieces over the years. It now feels like a good time to share my unique finds, and I am delighted to announce I shall be putting a collection up for sale and wanted to give you ‘first dibs’.
